While in a fit of daydreaming last night I came across a nice little !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . I was delighted to see the use of a subtle GIF in this page's design, something I'm a fan of in my professional work.
My delight was was quickly converted into rage though, out of everything they could have animated on this sucker they chose to animate the temperature gauge. Not the speedo, tach, or even the fuel gauge (which makes some sense given this car's ability to consume gasoline). The slappo making this GIF, instead of indicating power and acceleration, just made it look like the car has a broken water temperature gauge.
This shouldn't make me angry, but work with enough web designers and you'll understand how enraging and typical this behavior is. It's like they want to disappoint you.

The tach does move. Ever so slightly.

Not only that, but while the temp gauge bounces around the readout doesn't change. Does this mean the new Z06 gets recalled for a faulty temp gauge? :3

Web designer doesn't know his product. For a company that size, that's pretty pathetic.

If you click through the other settings, other dials move.

Yeah, but that temp gauge just keeps limply flapping.

True, I suppose the temp gauge blinded me with rage.
What are they indicating there though? A shitty idle?

didn't want to go anywhere, the Howard Stern show is too enthralling.

So limp. I think they were trying to think of some way to show people it was alive. Would have been better if all the gauges would have "spun" once it was in view, and then settled into place.

Yup, shitty idle. Jumps up a couple hundred revs all the time!

They should have hired me to make the gif instead.
